When Community Says Yes: Pinkberry Boutique and the Power of Partnership

Providing dignity is something both Pinkberry Boutique and The Madrina Project believe in deeply.
For Wendy, the owner of Pinkberry Boutique, that calling has always been part of her heart and part of the culture inside her beautiful store. Pinkberry has long been a place where girls find affordable pieces, feel beautiful, and celebrate special moments. Now, it’s also a place where dresses that once sat forgotten in closets or sent to landfills are given a second life, ready to turn prom dreams into prom realities.
Sometimes dignity doesn’t arrive in a big moment. Sometimes it arrives when a small business owner opens her door and says, “Dignity matters here.” That’s exactly what happened when Wendy became one of The Madrina Project’s year-round dress donation partners.

From the beginning, she went far beyond hosting a rack.
She shared our mission on SA Living, invited her customers into the story of Madrina, and turned her boutique into a bridge between women with dresses to give and girls who need them for some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. This is what partnership looks like, using the space she already had to make room for dignity.

We’re also deeply grateful to Victor Florez of LA VI Designs, who created a beautiful custom rack for Madrina. It was made to hold more than dresses; it holds hope.
Every dress placed there carries a story, and every story now has the chance to continue on a high school girl who may have never owned a formal dress before.
At The Madrina Project, we believe dignity should never depend on income, access, or luck. It should depend on community.

And this Galentine’s, we’d love to invite you to be part of it!
If you’ve been thinking about donating a dress, Galentine’s at Pinkberry is the perfect day to do it.
Bring your dress donations, enjoy pretty strawberry lemonade while you shop, and join in on Pinkberry’s special game for exclusive discounts throughout the day.
It’s a sweet way to celebrate friendship, support a local boutique, and help a girl step into her milestone with confidence.
We’ll be there, and we’d love to see you.
With so much gratitude,
Carmen Lidia Fajardo
